Discover some great Black and White and Night Photography at the London Photo Festival this October. In its 5th edition it continues to help, support and launch the careers of photographers.
Emma Mapp and Kit Shah created the London Photo Festival in 2011 to showcase up and coming talent and to provide new and emerging photographers with an opportunity to exhibit their work, have it professionally appraised and sell their work to the public.
“We will be holding our 5th Festival in October and we hope to continue to grow and promote photographers from around the globe,” they tell us.
The judge this year is Zoe Whishaw, commercial photographer, editor and art director, formerly of Getty Images. As a seasoned Editor and Art Director she has had many years of experience analysing and critiquing ideas and photography intended for commercial use across a broad spectrum of subject areas. The ‘Click ‘n Clique Evening on the 4th October 2013, 6 – 9pm, offers a chance for you and fellow photographers to come and meet the exhibitors and network with other photographers and photography industry suppliers.
All images in the London Festival are for sale and it’s a great opportunity to discover and purchase some unique photographic art.
Chiara Gerevasi joined the London Photo Festival for the first time in October 2012, and then again in May 2013. “The London Photo Festival has given me the confidence I was missing to start my own business,” she says.
“I’ve been working freelance since then on a regular basis. I’ll be back again this October, because I love the atmosphere, the people exhibiting and visiting it, and the organizers, Emma and Kit. If you love photography, whatever your level is, this is something you don’t want to miss!”
