We would like to start this month with a blog post about Carolin Nordin, a talented photography student and her work:
The image above is “part of a series of portraits under the theme Identity and perception. I wanted to capture the difference in posing whether the subject knew they were being photographed or not. By first focusing on the hands without the models knowledge and then telling them I could see a clear difference in how they presented themselves.
“I took this photo when I was walking down the bohemian streets of Jordaan in Amsterdam, Holland.
“Bob Hund are one of my favourite bands and when they played a reunion gig in their home-town Helsingborg, Sweden, I managed to get this shot.
“Having just finished my foundation studies in photography at London College of Communication, I’m now looking for something to keep me busy during the summer, before enrolling on the BA Photography course at University of East London in September.”
