An Overall Twist
Today’s blog post features Michiel Meewis – a photographer who lives to create the perfect image:
“Creating the perfect image, which is a good combination of three things; a concept, challenging esthetic and an overall twist.
“The image above is from my last campaign I shot for shoe brand United Nude. Brand founded by Rem D. Koolhaas. Entire campaign online on michielmeewis.com on December 20, 2011.

“This images shows my last editorial I shot for London College of Fashion and London Fashion Week.

“This one is from a campaign I shot for Oliver Ruuger his collection. We wanted to put the focus on the products by eliminating the clothes and highlighting the shape of the products in combination with the human body.

“The last one is called Eigengrau what is German for ‘Intrinsic Grey’, often called brain grey, is the color seen by the human eye by pure darkness. The editorial is an ode to the unemitted parts of the visual spectrum.
“My entire portfolio consists of photo prints which are printed on Fuji Archive Crystal Matt. Good quality, affordable and the print doesn’t stick to the plastic cover!”
