{"id":4252,"date":"2023-01-10T17:01:10","date_gmt":"2023-01-10T17:01:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theprintspace.co.uk\/help\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=4252"},"modified":"2026-07-09T22:24:40","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T21:24:40","slug":"signatures-edition-numbers-on-limited-edition-prints","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/www.theprintspace.co.uk\/help\/knowledge-base\/signatures-edition-numbers-on-limited-edition-prints\/","title":{"rendered":"How to set up print products with a signature printed on the print"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This article walks you through setting up a print product with a signature printed on prints, applied straight onto the artwork.<\/p>\n<h4>Add a signature printed on prints<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Create or edit your drop<\/strong> and go to the <strong>Finishing<\/strong> step (titled &quot;Signatures and numbering&quot; or &quot;Signatures, numbering and mount boards&quot;).<\/li>\n<li>Tick <strong>Apply my signature to each print<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select or upload a signature:<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Choose signature<\/strong> to open your signature library.<\/li>\n<li>Pick an existing signature, or upload a new PNG\/JPEG.<\/li>\n<li>Uploads made here don&#x27;t change your default in the Media Library.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Adjust the appearance (optional)<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Signature size<\/strong> \u2014 set how large the signature appears.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contrast<\/strong> \u2014 choose High, Medium or Low. theprintspace picks light or dark ink automatically based on your artwork&#x27;s background.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Add edition numbers (optional)<\/h4>\n<p>If at least one variant is a limited edition, tick <strong>Number each print<\/strong> to print each print&#x27;s unique edition number (e.g. 1\/50) on the opposite end of the border.<\/p>\n<h4>Check the preview<\/h4>\n<p>Use the live preview to confirm the result before you continue \u2014 it cycles through your artworks so you can verify each one.<\/p>\n<p>The signature prints into the bottom border of the print at the right-hand end (or the left-hand end for edition numbers).
